The Foundation
The Tony Caputo Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, was established in March of 2021 to perform charitable work in the beloved memory of Tony Caputo, who nourished the community with both his food and unceasing support of people experiencing poverty and injustice in his home state.
Our Mission
In the spirit of Tony Caputo's camaraderie and giving back to the community, the Tony Caputo Foundation funds charitable causes focusing on social justice, poverty, and environmental advocacy in Utah.
Charitable giving
In addition to charitable giving within the local community, The Tony Caputo Foundation has pledged an annual scholarship to assist financially disadvantaged students seeking to advance their education at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business.
Tony’s Flowers
In remembrance of Tony, his namesake Caputo’s Cheese Caves created a cheese packed in edible herbs and flowers and aged with love.
His family and other loved ones reflect on Tony’s life and vision in this promotional video made to commemorate the initial release of “Tony’s Flowers”.
As the years go by, we believe Tony is smiling down at the sight of his big, beautiful family gathering together to cook, eat, enjoy each other’s company, and honor his legacy. His legacy encourages all of us to stick together and nourish each other both with food and camaraderie. We hope we’ve made him proud.
